Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition, capable of retaining the adhesion for a long time even after immersion in water, and comprising a reaction product of an epoxy substituted organoalkoxysilane with an acid anhydride etc. in a specific proportion and a reaction product between an epoxy resin and a compound having a specific functional group.
CONSTITUTION: A primer composition comprising (A) a reaction product of (i) an epoxy-substituted organoalkoxysilane with (ii) an amino-substituted organoalkoxysilane and (iii) an acid anhydride at a weight ratio of 100:1W1,000:1W300 and (B) a reaction product between (iv) an epoxy resin having two or more epoxy groups in one molecule and (v) a compound having a functional group, preferably an amino or mercapto group, reactive with the epoxy group, preferably an organoalkoxysilane, as active constituents. Preferably, the amount of the constituent (B) is 10W1,000pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. the constituent (A). An organic solvent, e.g. ethanol, is preferably added to make the total amount of the constituents (A) and (B) 5W30% in the composition.
