Abstract

1384252 Bolt press HILGELAND Gebr 27 April 1972 [15 July 1971] 49926/71 Heading B3H A bolt press comprises a ram support 4 mounted for swivelling motion on a double arm lever 5 about a pivot 6 under the control of one of a pair of cam discs 11, 12 on a splined shaft 14 which also operates an ejector pin 26 in the press carriage I through a cam disc 18 and a bell-crank lever 21. A bell-crank lever 21 has a cam follower roller 19 on one arm and a bolt 24 mounted in the other arm 22 parallel to the pivot 25. The bolt has a flattened face 23 abutted by the rear end of the pin 26 which has extensions 35-37. The ejector pin 26 is spring- biased at 28 rearwards and the roller 19 is also biased on to the cam disc 18 by a spring 29. The stroke limits of the press carriage may be adjusted by a device 32-34.
