Abstract

1384077 Carrier bags WINDMOLLER & HOLSCHER 17 March 1972 [8 April 1971] 12668/72 Heading A4G A plastics carrier bag has a form-retaining plastics handle 5 welded to one wall 1, the opposed wall 2 having a flap 3 folded into the bag and welded at its sides to the wall 2 and provided with a slit 4 opposite and level with the bottom of the handle. Wall 1 has a tongue 9 formed by incisions 10, 11 spaced from the welded bag side seams 6, 7 and extending away from the seams at 17, 18 adjacent the lower edge of the flap. The incisions may have rupturable joints 12. In use the tongue is passed under the flap to close the bag, the handle passing through the slit.
