Abstract

1378655 Boxes JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 17 May 1972 [9 June 1971] 19586/71 Heading B8P [Also in Division H1] A battery box of thermoplastic material, e.g. polypropylene, comprises a base 11, body 12 and lid 19, these components being welded to one another at their opposed faces. To reduce the space taken by the body 12 before the welding operation it is folded flat as shown in Fig. 4, in which position the end walls 14 and partitions 15 are parallel to the side walls 13. To permit this folding, the end walls 14 and partitions 15 are provided at or near each end with a reduced neck portion 18 which functions as a hinge.
