Abstract

1,108,338. Trays. MARDON, SON & HALL Ltd. 10 March, 1967 [23 April, 1966], No. 17877/66. Heading B8P. A tray with corner gussets folded against the outer surfaces of the walls to hold the tray in its erected condition, is characterized by the provision of tongues 11 cut from the outer panels 5 of each gusset and engageable with slots 10 in said walls to hold the gussets in the erected condition. The blank is of cardboard coated with a thermoplastic material. The tongue 11 engages the slot 10, which is made narrow across 15, 16, through a cut-out 9. A hinged or separate lid may be provided, the lid having extensions along its edges hermetically sealed to the tray walls.
