Abstract

1377028 Travelling band air filter TROX GmbH Gebr 8 Dec 1972 [19 Dec 1971] 56702/72 Heading BIT In a travelling band filter in which the band moves across a frame 1 from cassette 5 to cassette 6 both cassettes are removably mounted on pins 4 on the frame by means of their channels 7. Channels 7 are formed by bending the sheet material of the cassette housings and provide bearing surfaces for the band in place of rollers. During its travel over the opening the band is supported by guide rails 13 (Fig. 3, not shown) mounted on the frame uprights 2 and by a grid 14 of rods 14a. A pair of flaps 15 hinged at 16 prevent the filter band fluttering when air flow ceases. The band is wound in the cassette 6 by motor 17.
