Abstract
1373300 Triazolobenzodiazepines UPJOHN CO 10 Aug 1972 [8 Sept 1971] 37321/72 Heading C2C Triazolobenzodiazepines are prepared by the following routes (R 0 = C 1-3 alkyl, C 3-8 cycloalkyl, Ph, PhCH 2 , Py, pyrimidyl, pyrryl; R=H, C 1-3 alkyl, C 3-8 cycloalkyl, alkoxymethyl, alkylthiomethyl, dialkylaminomethyl, cyanomethyl, Ph, PhCH 2 , Py, pyrimidyl, pyrryl; R 1 =H, C 1-3 alkyl, OH, OOCH 3 , OOCC 2 H 5 ; R 2-5 =H, C 1-3 alkyl, CN, halogen, CF 3 , NO 2 , NH 2 , C 1-3 alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl or alkanoylamino, di(C 1-3 alkyl)amino; R 6 =C 1-3 alkyl), optionally followed by salt formation. Compounds IV and their salts are sedatives, tranquillizers, muscle relaxants, hypnotics and anticonvulsants and increase growth rate and feed efficiency of livestock. They may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical and veterinary preparations and feed additives containing them in association with a carrier.
