Abstract
1377230 Triazolobenzodiazepines UPJOHN CO 10 Aug 1972 [13 Sept 1971] 37319/72 Heading C2C Triazolobenzodiazepines are prepared by the following route: (R<SP>1</SP>=C 1-3 alkyl; X=Cl, Br, I; R 1 =H, C 1-3 alkyl; R 2 = Py, 2-pyrimidyl, furyl, pyrryl, thienyl, C 1-3 alkyl, C 2-3 alkenyl, C 5-7 cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl; R 3,4 =H, halogen, CF 3 , NO 2 , C 1-3 alkoxy or alkylthio, di-(C 1-3 alkyl)amino), optionally followed by salt formation. The above compounds are sedatives, hypnotics, anticonvulsants, tranquillizers and muscle relaxants, and increase growth rate, feed efficiency and milk and egg production in livestock. They may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical or veterinary preparations and food premixes containing them in association with a carrier.
