1370504 Coated pane of glass FLACHGLAS AF DELOG-DETAG 27 July 1972 [2 Aug 1971] 35122/72 Heading C7F [Also in Division B2] A pane of glass bears on one or both sides a heat-reflecting coating consisting of two layers, one being a metallic layer of thickness 20-100A and the other being a dielectric layer of a material with a refractive index greater than 2, and a thickness equal to a quarter of a wavelength for the visible part of the spectrum. The metallic layer is preferably a noble metal such as Au, and the dielectric layer Ti oxide and/or Bi oxide; the layers are applied by sputtering.
