[Also in Divisions Cl and C7] A window pane consists of a sub-stratum of a transparent material, e.g. polystyrene or polymethyl methacrylate, having an electrically conductive coating of indium oxide or tin oxide and a covering layer, harder than the conductive layer, of an oxide, such as of silicon. The layers may be applied by vacuum deposition.
