Abstract

1367254 Suction fastenings WINDAK Ltd 19 Feb 1973 [11 March 1972] 11466/72 Heading E2A A pneumatic-sucked fastening, e.g. for lifting furniture, is evacuated by a venturi 5 or 'air-lift' tube continuously operated by compressed air or water to evacuate a cavity formed under top-plate 1 by neoprene rims 3. The suction is applied through an apertured baffle and a filter 8, and a non-return valve 6 may also be included. For lifting under-water objects, the venturi may be replaced by an 'air-lift' tube. A modified form is described. Specification 1,309,273 is referred to. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1,1309,273.
