Hydraulic seal safety apparatus for preventing and minimizing explosions.-An hydraulic-seal safety apparatus for use with oxy-acetylene welding-appliances comprises a pair of chambers containing water seals and connected by a pipe g leading from the space above one seal and dipping into the other. The inlet pipe e has a perforated fitting dipping into the seal in a chamber a. The second chamber b has a ventpipe k dipping into the water seal and having its lower end approximately at the same level as the connecting-pipe g. Cocks m are fitted for adjusting the levels of the seals.
