Abstract
1366481 Panel G K N SANKEY Ltd 27 July 1971 [12 June 1970] 28469/70 Headings E1B E1R and E1W [Also in Divisions B5 and F4] A panel comprises plastics sheets 10, 11 with aligned corrugations secured together at abutting troughs and crests 15, 17, at least one panel being light transmitting. The sheets are extruded and then welded, e.g. by being pressed together before solidification. Reinforcing rods of plastics or metal are inserted through the bores between the sheets, the rods being formed into a non-rectilinear shape before or after insertion. The panel is used for a roof, e.g. of a carport. The sheets may be pigmented, e.g. to form a solar absorber the lower sheet may be black and water is heated by passage between the sheets.
