Abstract

136,422. Laughton, H. March 22, 1919. Tension arrangements.-A belt for transmitting power from an electromotor &c. is held against a small pulley E by two jockey-pulleys A, B carried by a lever C pivoted at D and furnished with a counterweight G. When the lower stretch of the belt is straightened by the drive, the jockeypulleys are depressed and the tension is increased. The pulley B may be adjustable or may be connected to the pulley A by a spring.
