Abstract

1359893 Slats for endless conveyer belts STEELACE Ltd 10 Nov 1972 [6 Jan 1972] 548/72 Heading B8A A slat 21 is secured to a conveyer belt 24 by means of a channel-shaped metal base 11. The latter has spikes which are forced through the material of the belt 24 and are then passed through slots 19 in a retaining washer 18, and are then bent over. The base 11 may be of non- magnetic material. Slots 17 may be formed in the base to facilitate adjustment for length, by breaking pieces off. In assembling the slat on the belt, a block of wood is held against the belt on opposite side of the latter to the slat.
