Abstract

1362884 Conveyer belt slats STEELACE Ltd 16 Nov 1972 [27 Jan 1972] 3789/72 Heading B8A [Also in Division E2] A slat member 11 is formed as a plastics moulding and has threaded bores 17 to receive threaded studs 21 provided on a base 19 of a fastener member 18. In securing the slat to a conveyer belt, the belt is punched with a series of holes corresponding to the slat bores 17 and, after passing the studs 21 through the holes, the slat is hammered on to the studs. There will normally be several fastener members for each slat. In place of the members 18 there may be individual headed bolts for use with an apertured strip engaging two or three of the bolts. The members 18 are of plastics but may be of metal. The bores 17 may be un- threaded.
