1470229 Overhead cranes with lifting beams INSTITUTUL DE PROIECTARE TEHNOLOGICA PENTRU LAMINOARE IPROLAM 24 June 1974 27988/74 Heading B8B An overhead crane comprises a load trolley (1), Fig. 1 (not shown), a load crab 5 mounted for slewing on the trolley (1), a load hoisting unit 7, a tilting unit 8 and a beam arrangement 9, with C-shaped claws C, load-lifting magnets 10 and hooks 11, adapted to be lifted and lowered by pairs of ropes 15, 16 inclined to supress swinging of the load (not shown), tilting ropes 30, 31 for the claws C also being inclined to suppress swinging of the load.
