Abstract

1356575 Magnetic snap action contacts; energy regulators DREAMLAND ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES Ltd 7 July 1971 [15 July 1970] 34373/70 Heading H1N In an electric switch provided with magnetic snap action the magnetic force is provided by a pair of permanent magnets 15, 17 relatively rotatable or by a magnet and armature relatively rotatable to adjust the effective magnetic force. The magnets and/or armature are attached to a terminal 19 and a bimetal blade 11 by contact rivets 12, 15. The bimetal is heated by a series heating element 13 (e.g. wire or tape wound on fibreglass) to form an energy regulator. The adjustment of the magnetic force and adjusting screw 18 set the cycle time.
