Abstract

1351203 Machine and power units BUNKER RAMO CORP 22 April 1971 [24 April 1970] 10865/71 Heading F1X Apparatus for operating a two-handled tool such as pliers 11, includes drive means 8, 9 for operating the tool with control means 17, 35, 36 and a tool-holder 5 adjustably mounted on a plate 4 which is movably mounted on a support 2 and is fastened by bolts 24, 25 and located by a groove on its underside mating with a projection on the mounting surface, and by a block 30 engaging with an adjustable screw 28, 29. Bolts 19, 20 attach the tool-holder to plate 4. A protector 14 fitted to the tool handle 13 is biased by spring 43 against the pivotally mounted post 9. Disc 8 is driven by a motor 10 controlled by switch 17 and switch 36 which acts with contact 35 to stop the motor after each complete revolution of disc 8. Suitable circuitry for these control switches is described. The post 9 may be adjustable on disc 8 or the post and disc may be replaced by pneumatic or hydraulic drive means.
