Abstract

1345079 Valves SIEMENS AG 13 Aug 1971 [13 Aug 1970] 38196/71 Heading F2V In a fluid pressure responsive device, flow to or from a work channel 14 is normally prevented by the co-operation of a ball 1 with an annular flow port 3, the ball being acted upon on one side by the supply pressure P H and on the other side by a pilot pressure P E , the latter acting through the intermediary of a spring bellows 8 from which depends an adjustable ball-contacting stem 11. With a rise in the pilot pressure, the work channel 14 vents via port 3, bellows space 9 and an atmospheric connection 5. Conversely, with a fall in the pilot pressure, the work channel 14 is placed in communication with the supply presure P H . The ball-containing housing 2 is formed from two identical parts 21, 22 which are forced into the housing base 4 from opposed sides of the latter. Excessive travel of the ball is prevented by on the one hand, a stop 15 and, on the other hand, by the top of the housing cap member 6.
