Abstract

1335692 Toothed gearing G GAVIOLI 4 Nov 1970 [12 Nov 1969] 52453/70 Heading F2Q Shafts 1, 2 are interconnecetd by gearing comprising bevel gears 8, 9 mounted for rotation with shafts 1, 2 respectively and meshing bevel gears 10, 11 coupled for rotation together about a cylindrical pin 17 pivotally mounted about the axis of shaft 2. A shaft 6 is slidably coupled to shaft 2 and carries the gear 9 and arm 17. An arm 14 is pivotally mounted about the axis of shaft 1 and assists in supporting the gears 10, 11. A modified form of gearing is shown in Fig. 2, and Fig. 3 shows a further modification comprising worm gearing.
