1327953 Pick holders AUSTIN HOY & CO Ltd 21 Aug 1970 40498/70 Addition to 1308298 Headings E1F and E2B; To facilitate insertion and removal of a shanked tool, e.g. a mineral-mining pick, into and from a holder I of the referred to specification 1308298 the latch 5 of said holder is now provided with a part 19, 20 that will, when the latch is mounted in the holder, project out from the holder to allow of it being engaged by a lever in order that the resilient portion 8 of the latch may be compressed by application of appropriate leverage to the part 19, 20 to cause the part 6 of the latch, which part normally lies across the shank-receiving socket 2 of the holder to press the tool shank when inserted into the socket against a wall thereof, to move clear of the socket. The part 19, 20 may be of T or V configuration and the limb or limbs 19 are integral with the part of the latch.
