Abstract

1326300 Electro-photographic process FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [12 Feb 1970] 21655/71 Heading G2H An electro-photographic process comprises (1) forming an electrostatic latent image on an imaging material comprising in order (i) a flexible support, (ii) a photo-conductive layer comprising a resinous binder and (iii) an electrically insulating protective layer comprising a resin (2) developing the image with a toner dispersed in an insulating carrier liquid, and (3) before or during development, dissolving layer (iii) in an insulating liquid which does not dissolve the binder in layer (ii). The protective layer (iii) may be removed before or after latent image formation in a pre-treatment bath, or dissolved in the carrier liquid during development.
