1323861 Adjustable armrests BATH INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL ENG 27 March 1972 [7 Jan 1971] 788/71 Heading A4J An armrest comprises an arm support 17 pivotally connected for rotation about a vertical axis to one end of a cantilever 9, the other end being pivotally connected for rotation about a vertical axis to a bracket 2, 3, 4 attached to the back rest frame 1 of a chair, e.g., an invalid chair. The arm support 17 and cantilever 9 are held in adjusted position relative to the cantilever and bracket respectively by two complementary toothed annular parts 16 or 8 spring or gravitationally biased into engagement.
