Abstract
1322779 Presser foot YOSHIDO KOGYO KK 24 Nov 1970 [24 Dec 1969] 55790/70 Heading D1G A presser foot, for use with a two needle sewing machine in attaching a sliding clasp fastener, comprises a flat sole portion 11, a toe 12 and a heel portion 13, the sole including a central partition 18, 19 separating the sole into separate halves, each half having parallel inner and outer lands 21, 22 defining between them a shallow channel 23 for accepting and guiding a row of fastener elements secured to a fastener tape, the inner land having a needle aperture 24, the sole also including a pair of deep parallel channels 25, 26 each defined by a side wall of the partition and an inner side wall of the land 21 or 22, the latter channels accepting the element free edges of the fastener tapes. The partition is in two parts, defining therebetween a slot for a cutter for slitting the material to which the fastener is to be stitched. In a modification (Fig. 5 not shown) the channels 23 are modified to accept the elements of a concealed fastener.
