1322179 Fire protection device J STONE 19 April 1971 [8 Dec 1969] 59781/69 Heading A5A A fire protection device comprises a tubular member 1 for connection to a water supply, a valve member 7 held in position by clamps 11 and a temperature frangible plug 9, and a resiliently deformable annular sealing member 6 disposed between and in frictional engagement with 7 and a circumferential face of 1, the inlet pressure in 1 acting on 6 in the axial direction thereof; the device being provided with an abutment 4 for supporting 6 against said pressure.
