Abstract

1318446 Valves M A STILTNER 27 Aug 1970 [20 Oct 1969] 41191/70 Heading F2V In a fluid flow valve assembly having relatively movable members at least one of the members has a flat face in engagement with a tubular seal ring 40 having a skirt 46 extending axially into a point 47 of the other member, a resilient seal ring 50 extending about the skirt between shoulders 51, 52 to limit inward movement of the seal. The valve slide 15 may be centred by a spring (28, Fig. 2) and be hand operated by a lever (19, Fig. 1). Ball bearings (14a, Fig. 3) are interposed between the slide and its housing which has a cavity of square cross-section formed by two longitudinallyextending parts (5, 6, Fig. 3) of L-shaped section, gaskets (8) being provided between these parts and at the ends of the cavity where it is closed by plates (9, 10, Fig. 1). The invention may be applied to a rotary disc valve.
