Abstract
1318326 Date indicating SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 28 May 1971 [11 June 1970] 17917/71 Heading G3T A calendar mechanism for a calendar watch comprises a toothed date advancement wheel 1 having an entended tooth 3 which engages, once a day, with internal teeth of a date wheel 2. The tooth 3 is resilient and has a chamfer 4 whereby, when the wheel 2 is advanced by a manual date correcting wheel and the tooth 3 is engaging the internal teeth 8, the tooth 3 is deflected downwards into an aperture 6 by the action of teeth 8 on the chamfer 4, and damage to the date advancement wheel 1 prevented. It is stated that manual date advancement can be effected by reciprocating a motion transmitting wheel 5 and that the construction can be applied to a month or day advancement wheel.
