Abstract
1316186 Heat resistant alloy TSENTRALNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TEKHNOLO GII MASHINOSTROENIA 20 July 1971 33946/71 Headings C7A and C7D A heat resistant alloy comprises (in per cent by weight):- and the balance, apart from impurities and incidental elements, being Fe. The alloy may be made by a method including the step of adding to a cast iron melt 24-30% of a master alloy comprising (in per cent by weight):- and optionally one or more of Fe, Ni, Pb, Su and Zn, the balance, apart from impurities, being Al. Any insufficiencies are made up by addition of elements or ferro-alloys and the melt is inoculated with Ce or compounds thereof. The alloy may be induction melted in a crucible with a basic or neutral lining.
