Abstract

1316106 Case for flexible liquid containers UNILEVER Ltd 20 Aug 1970 [20 Aug 1969] 41511/69 Heading B8P A case for holding an inner flexible liquidcontaining vessel is formed from a blank and includes four side walls 1-4, bottom closure flaps 5-8 and a top closure comprising a first flap 11, a second flap 12 folded to overlie the first flap 11, a third flap divided by fold lines 20, 21 into a first part 22 folded to overlie the first and second flaps 11, 12, a second part 23 turned inwardly to extend into the case and a third part 24, with an aperture 30 for receiving the neck of a flexible container, folded to lie inwardly of the plane of the top of the case, and a fourth flap 36 folded to cover the entire top surface of the case. The free edge 15 of the flap 12 overlaps the top edge of the side wall 2 and the free edges of the fourth flap 36 overlap the top edges of side walls 2-4. Further flaps 17, 18 are folded inwardly from side walls 2 and 4 to lie below the fourth flap 36. A removable portion 39 is provided in the fourth flap 36 and side wall 1, and hand holes 16, 41, 42 are provided in the second, third and fourth flaps. The bottom closure comprises an inner flap 5 and an outer flap 6, the latter having side flaps 7, 8 which are folded up to lie against the inside of the side walls 2, 4.
