1417025 Cartons; packaging UNILEVER Ltd 20 Nov 1972 [20 Nov 1971] 53465/72 Headings B8P and B8C A carton body folded from a blank comprises adjacent upwardly and inwardly inclined side walls 2 connected by gussets 3, and locking flaps 4 folded down from the top edges of alternate side walls 2 and glued to the side walls to hold the gussets 3 against the side walls 2. Grip tabs in the form of extensions (6, 6a), Figs. 3, 4 (not shown) of the locking flaps or in the form of tabs 5, 5a folded from the top edges of the side walls not carrying locking flaps may be provided. The carton body may have four or eight side walls. A liner may line the base panel. A tearoff tab (9, Figs. 6, 7) defined by perforations (11, Figs. 6, 7) in a telescopically fitted lid may be spot glued to an area defined by perforations (13) Fig. 7 (not shown) on the carton body to form a tamper-proof seal. A carton body having four side walls may be combined with a shell to form a drawer and shell carton.
