Abstract

1314945 Centrifugal gas compressors WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC CORP 19 April 1971 [26 Feb 1970] 23222/71 Heading F1C A centrifugal gas compressor comprises a bearing support member 10 with a bearing assembly 19 disposed thereon, a rotatable gas impeller 20 journalled in the bearing assembly, a housing 21 detachably secured to the bearing support member to enclose the bearing assembly and the impeller, a compressed gas collecting scroll 30 detachably secured to an inside wall of the housing in a position to surround the impeller, the scroll having a gas outlet, an opening in the wall of the housing and a compressed gas nozzle 40 extending through the opening and detachably secured to the housing, the compressed gas nozzle having the inner end thereof received in the gas outlet of the scroll. The gas nozzle may be detachably secured to the housing by bolts (not shown). Specification 1314944 is referred to.
