Abstract

1303664 Lintels BIRMINGHAM SMALLARMS CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [10 Feb 1970 10 July 1970] 6206/70 and 32818/70 Headings E1B and E1K A galvanized steel lintel of welded or rivetted construction comprises, forwardly and rearwardly projecting horizontal plates 2 and 4, a web 7 and an upper rearwardly extending plate 9 including a horizontal portion 10. The plate 9 may also project forwardly (as shown) or be the bent back upper portion of the web. Buttress plates 12 are provided at spaced intervals along the web. A strengthening plate may be welded to the web and the rearwardly extending upper plate. In modifications triangular buttress plates alternate along the top and bottom edges of the web. The gap between the rearwardly extending plates is one, two, three or more bricks.
