1424603 Beams for suspended ceiling framework RONDO BUILDING SERVICES PTY Ltd 7 Aug 1973 [7 Sept 1972] 37480/73 Headings E1K and E1W A cross runner 5 for spanning between two longitudinal runners, Fig. 2 (not shown) comprises horizontal panel supporting flanges 8 and an upright web 11 connected to the flanges, which is slotted to form at least one non horizontal elongate tab 13 deformable for engagement with an edge portion of a panel. The tabs 13 may be vertical or in pairs inclined to each other to form a V configuration. A tool 15 may be used to bend the tabs into engagement with the panel edges.
