Abstract

1301331 Induction flowmeters TOKYO SHIBAURA ELECTRIC CO Ltd 10 April 1970 17134/70 Heading G1N In an induction flowmeter, the mid portions of a pair of exciting coils 13, 14 are surrounded by a pair of core elements 15,16, the poles of the elements abutting along a diameter perpendicular to the diameter of the flowline 10 joining the electrodes 11, 12 i.e. a diameter parallel to the flux paths. The ends of the coils are preferably surrounded by magnetic shields 29, 29' and the core elements are held together by a retaining ring 23. The whole assembly is mounted in a two part housing provided with flanges 21, 22 for attachment to a flowline. The cores may be of ferrite material and may be laminated, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown).
