Abstract

PURPOSE:To diminish the leakage flux of a voice coil motor used to drive a magnetic head by a method wherein magnets are prepared between a magnetic circuit and surrpounding metals. CONSTITUTION:A voice coil motor is consituted of a magnet 2, magnetic poles 3, yokes 7, 8 and coils 4 wound around movable elements 9. By arranging leakage flux diminsihing magnets formed with ferrite, etc., magnetic flux generated by the magnet 2 passes almost through the magnetic poles 3 and the coils 4. Therefore the leakage flux is diminished and the motor can be made to miniaturized and have a light weight.
