Abstract

1298969 Sliding windows or doors PHOENIX GUMMIWERKE AG 5 Nov 1970 [18 June 1970] 52738/70 Heading E1J A sliding window or door comprises a wing frame carrying a sealing strip along its lower edge, and a main frame 17 which has a flange 3, 4, 5 along its upper edge supporting, via a further sealing strip 21, 22, a portion of the wing frame. Flanges 3, 4, 5 of the upper member of the main frame support a carrier which has projections 9, 10 slidably engaged in recesses in the wing frame. Guide tracks 28 are positioned in recesses in the lower and side members of the main frame. L-shaped members (Fig. 7, not shown) are attached to the overlapping sides of two wing frames and carry seals (19, 20). The wing is lifted before sliding and then lowered. The frames are of PVC.
