Abstract

129,880. Doyle, F. Oct. 12, 1918. Slings.-A sling for lifting casks &c. comprises a saddle 2 curved to fit the cask and having splayed arms 1 eyeletted at both ends, chains 5 from the crane hook ring 6 passing through the widely spaced eyelets 7, under the cask, and being secured to the closely spaced eyelets 3. The saddle may be provided with a handle 9 and the chains provided with stops (not shown), to prevent the chains when unloaded, running through the eyelets 7 and closing the loops.
