Abstract

305,295. Meese, H. W., and Leahy, T. Nov. 12, 1927. Slings.-To facilitate the manipulation of sling chains, the sling hook is replaced by a pair of hooks a connected by one or more chain links c. The hooks are detached from the sling chain d whilst the latter is placed around a load or is withdrawn. In use, one hook a is engaged with the free end of the sling chain, and the other hook is placed around the chain in the usual manner.
