Abstract
1295033 Shelving; cabinets S HILLE & CO Ltd 23 Dec 1970 [2 Jan 1970] 245/70 Heading A4B A cabinet, shelving or like article of storage furniture comprises end walls 1,2 of wood, wood laminate or fibre board faced with plastics material and inter-connected by spacer tubes 3,4,5 secured by countersunk screws 8 passed through holes in the walls 1, 2 and engaged in threaded ends, or in plugs in the ends, of the tubes 3, 4, 5. Horizontal panels 10 with downturned flanges or lugs 11 may be supported on the spacer tubes to define a top, bottom or shelf. The unit may be provided with doors and/or a back 12. The back 12 includes a groove 30 which receives as a push fit a spring wire element 31 with ends 32 that engage in holes 33 in the end panels. The unit may be supported by hooked brackets (14), Fig.6 (not shown) secured to a wall and engaged beneath the spacer tubes. (For Figures see next page)
