1293197 Coating wires by hot dipping AUSTRALIAN WIRE INDUSTRIES Pty Ltd 26 June 1970 [26 June 1969] 31229/70 Heading C7F A wire coated with e.g. Zn, Al or Cr, is quenched by passing it through coaxial tubes, 1, 2, 3, the tube 3 having bores 4, 4a for e.g. quenching water, and to prevent water entering the coating apparatus compressed air or other gas is supplied to a chamber 8. A baffle plate B deflects any water which does fall through the pipe 1.
