Abstract

The tube is reciprocated by hollow connecting rods 5, 6, connected to a rotating shaft 8, the compressed air supplied through a hose 9 flowing through the bores of shaft 8 and rods 5, 6. As tube 1 reciprocates, into and out of the shed 4, a weft 3 presented thereto is picked up by the suction in tube and drawn through the shed. (For Figures see next column)
