Abstract
1289233 Feeding yarns between winding stations ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 20 April 1970 [25 April 1969] 18702/70 Heading D1F In apparatus whereby yarn 1 is unwound from one station, e.g. as represented by a cap 4, and rewound at lower take-up speed at a succeeding station, e.g. as represented by a drum-wound package 10, the (injected) yarn feed into an intermediate, temporary storage device or accumulator 7 is correctly arrested (and subsequently allowed to resume) according to the tension of yarn fed to the accumulator and/or the degree of filling thereof. A pneumatic control system comprises tension and perhaps, "accumulator-filled" sensors 8 and 12, which, through an evaluating control unit (14), operate a single- or double-bellows power unit 6 to cause swinging movement of arm 61 whereby yarn is forced into or from engagement with advancing rolls 2, 3. The bellows of unit 6 operate against a return spring which ensures that, in the event of failure of operating air supply, the yarn is removed from the nip of rolls 2, 3.
