Abstract

1284127 Non-contact making relays TRANSDUCER SYSTEMS Inc 7 Aug 1969 [20 Aug 1968] 39547/69 Heading H3B An inductive device including an inductive proximity transducer is used for a switch. In the embodiment of Fig. 1 a movable member in the form of a leaf spring 14 is secured at one end 16 to a panel 10 and made of magnetic material or carrying a magnetic body. When pushbutton 26 is pressed downwards the magnetic member 14 moves towards the core 30 of the differential transformer transducer to increase the output from terminals 38a, 38b of the secondary winding. An adjustable stop is provided by screw 44. In a second embodiment, Fig. 4 (not shown), the transducer is mounted in a cylindrical housing and the movable member is in the form of a pushbutton carrying a magnetic disc at one end and slidably mounted in the housing, the pushbutton being normally biased away from the tranformer core by a helical spring.
