Abstract
1,273,458. Fuel injection systems. NISSAN MOTOR CO. Ltd. Oct.20, 1970 [Oct. 22, 1969], No. 49878/70. Heading G1N. In an I.C. engine fuel injection control system, when the engine speed reaches a pre-set value injection occurs simultaneously in more cylinders than when the speed is below said value. As shown, when the engine speed reaches said value a switching circuit 49 causes switches 26, 35 and 38 to change over and thereby cause the two groups of injection valves 44, 46 to be actuated simultaneously whereas; below said value they operate alternately. The switching circuit Fig. 2 (not shown), includes a threshold circuit and a relay for the switches 26, 35 and 38, or alternatively the switches 26, 35 and 38 may be electronic (i.e. transistors). It may be arranged that, when the engine speed falls again, two group injection occurs at a lower speed value than said pre-set value. The injection pulses are computed by a circuit 27 and have a width dependent upon engine speed, intake manifold pressure and engine temperature.
