In a method and apparatus for dispensing flavoured carbonated beverages, pressurized carbon dioxide at 11 is passed via reducing valve 12 to a container 16 of carbonated water or acting as a carbonator for water entry at 20, the carbonated water passing via solenoid valve 29 to a dispensing head 24, 25, the head also receiving a selected flavouring from a plastics disposable container 17 by gas-pressure at 11 via a second reducing valve 18 and solenoid valve 26, the proportion of water and flavouring being determined by metering devices in the head, e.g. adjustable orifices. The dispensing tap of the head may be manually or electrically operated, and the solenoid valves 26 for the flavouring may be controlled by a manual selector switch. Plain water may pass to the head via pipe 30 and valve 31.
