Abstract

1,257,000. Sprinkler device. FLYMO S.A. 16 June, 1970, No. 29117/70. Heading B2F. In a sprinkler device, e.g. of the horticultural type, wherein water under pressure is discharged from a nozzle after automatically being dosed with fertilizer from a reservoir, the reservoir 4 is arranged for rotation about a vertical axis on stand 1 and is caused to rotate by jet reaction of water discharging from inclined nozzles 9 and 10 of two pipes 7 and 8, dosing pasages 11 and 12 for the fertilizer being arranged so that fertilizer only flows therethrough when the reservoir rotates. As shown, the passages discharge adjacent the nozzle outlets and fertilizer flow is induced by the vacuum effect of the water stream and centrifugal forces generated by reservoir rotation.
