Abstract

1,247,790. Electric couplings. G. SCHLEGEL, [trading as GEORG SCHLEGEL ELEKTROTECHNISCHE FABRIK]. 9 June, 1969 [15 March, 1969], No. 29060/69. Heading H2E. A connecting member 4 affixed in an insulating body 1 extends between the sidewalls of a stirrup 13 which includes part 13<SP>1</SP> to hold a conductor I against the member under the pressure of a spring 14 and a part 16 through which extends a screw 11 also passing through a stirrup 12 and which clamps a conductor II and indirectly the conductor I. The screwhead 17 is secured in a head-piece 18 which may contain a searing ring 21 and which abuts stirrup part 1211. A threaded bore 7<SP>1</SP> is provided in the member 4 for attachment to other connecting devices. The conductor I is introduced after depressing the screw in the direction P which results in the movement of stirrup 13 away from the rail 4. The body 1 may be mounted on a rail 10.
