Abstract

1,247,787. Architraves. R. E. PETITT and P. J. BETTS. 22 May, 1970 [28 May, 1969], No. 26988/69. Heading EIJ. An architrave corner member comprises a rectangular block 1 having a planar lug 4 projecting from each of two adjacent sides 3 and a fixing hole 5 for a screw, the two sides abutting against the ends of the top and side architrave members with the lugs 4 extending beneath the architrave members and being gripped between these and the wall. The block 1 may be hollow or solid, and may. be made of plastics, metal, wood, or a mixture of wood chips and thermosetting binder. The fixing hole 5 is preferably at the centre of the block I, and may .be countersunk to receive the head of the fixing screw, a decorative plastics cap 10 being provided with a cylindrical lug 11 to engage in the hole 5 over the screw head.
