Abstract
1,244,017. Steam baths; seats convertible to boxes. MEDEXPORT Ltd. 25 Nov., 1969 [3 Dec., 1968], No. 57378/68. Heading A4H and A4N. A steam or vapour bath consists of a base 11 connected by a hinge 13 to a wall 12 which in the operative position is held perpendicular to the base 11 by at least one strut 24, a seat 14 consisting of a portion 15 hinged to the wall 12 by a hinge 16 and pivotally connected to a second portion 17 which is connected by a hinge 18 to the base 11, so that in the operative position of the bath the portion 15 is perpendicular to wall 12. The bath is enclosed by a flexible canopy 26 detachably affixed to the wall and base and provided with a fastener 27 and arm holes 29. A vapour generator (33), Fig. 2 (not shown), is located under the seat 14 and is electrically heated, being controlled by a resistance box 43. When not required for use, the bath can be collapsed by removing struts 24; the wall 12 is then folded down to form a box with base 11, the canopy and other equipment being stored in the box which is provided with catches 31.
